Because hot weather in Bangkok can make you tired, I think walking along the river at twilight would probably release you from such tiring day. Recently, Asiatique The Riverfront becomes a newest landmark of Bangkok where visitors are fascinated by the sight of Chao Phraya River and a unique style mall. Although it has just been about a year after its grand opening in April 2012, Asiatique now becomes one of popular places for both Thais and foreigners.

Asiatique has a large space for parking lots, but it seems not enough for a festival day. For example, I went with my sister on the day of Children Day (the second Saturday of January) without thinking of a holiday. Unfortunately, we spent half an hour to find a space in parking, but we had to park deeply in the extra parking at the other side of the mall.

Ah! It seems like I forgot telling how to use convenient public transportation, BTS Sky Train, to Asiatique. Don’t worry! I am going to give you some information about it now. BTS would be the easiest way to get to Asiatique. You can take BTS to Saphan Taksin Station, and then take the exit No.2 to Sathorn Pier. Free shuttle boats are available to Asiatique from 4 pm to 10.20 pm everyday.

In my opinion, Asiatique is not only for a fabulous view point, variety product shops and romantic restaurants, but also interesting activities. For example, you might get on a Ferris wheel to see Bangkok night lights from top view, seeing a fantastic show of Calypso or enjoying Thai cuisine dinner on a boat. If you wanted to get only a sightseeing of colorful night lights along the river, you can join a Chao Phraya Tourist Boat to see beautiful buildings and temples lighted up on both side of Chao Phraya bank. You will see a remarkable corncob structure of The Temple of Dawn and the most memorable grand palace as well.

      Note that, all the shows, dinner cruise and tourist boat service sometimes are available only Friday to Sunday, please check or contact them to make reservations before you get there.
