Angsila is a place located between Bangsaen beach and Chonburi city. It is another place that can attract a ton of customers to visit. Angsila is a word in Thai language meaning "a place having a lot of great stone". Before its name has become Angsila, it was called "Anghin" by local people. Untill 1948, King Rama III gave a new name to this area. Since about a century ago, people living here use the stone in this area to make different kinds of products. Another good thing here is that there is a jetty for the ship landing in the morning, situated next to Angsila village. To go to Angsila is not difficult, if visitors come from Bangsaen Beach just drive along the street Bangsaen-Angsila, the jetty will beon the left. In the case driving from Sukhumvit Road, visitors need to make a turn at Angsila Junction (near Big C Extra hypermarket). Then, drive along the main street towards the jetty.
